A singer with a magnificent voice and a sensitive interpreter, Emma Salokoski is a front-line Finnish artist. She has worked with a variety of line-ups ranging from symphony orchestras to main-stage rock festival bands and solos in the course of her long musical career, and has released numerous albums, most recently Kiellettyjä asioita in 2015. Her best-known line-ups include the Emma Salokoski Ensemble, Emma Salokoski & Ilmiliekki, and the vocal ensembles Emma Salokoski Voices and the Aito Collective.

The greatest Emma Salokoski hits come to life in duo arrangements inspired by Finnish nature and rhythm music from all over the world. Joining her for these is Jarmo Saari, one of the most original guitarists of his generation. Known for his visual compositional style created for concerts, cinema, television, choreographies, theatre and disc, Jarmo is also famous for his layered sound collages made with guitar, vocals, and such rarer instruments as a theremin, Baroque cello and glass harp.
